Breaking news: hospital in Nasiriyah - troops, chemical suits seized

Fox news reporting that U.S. Marines acting on intelligence raided a hospital in Nasiriyah and have captured more than 170 Iraqi troops, a lot of them in civilian dress, a lot of weapons and apparently 3,000 chemical warfare suits ... a tank also was on the grounds.

If true, yet another violation of the Geneva Convention and another strong indication that the Iraqis may use chemical weapons.

Marines were taking fire from the hospital yesterday, then used bullhorns to get the civilians to evacuate and then moved in. The paramilitary forces were using the hospital for staging purposes. Over 200 guns and those chemical suits as well as masks were recovered. The correct number of chemical suits was 300, not 3,000. Once they cleared the hospital, they allowed the doctors, patients and other hospital personnel to go back in and reestablish their operations.

Why do people act surprised by these things. Its quite obvious that Iraq will do every lowdown trick in the bag to fight. The best testament to the dominance of the US is that of its 20 combat deaths, more than half were related to the false surrender of the Iraqis. People like to think this is resistance, but to me its clear dominance. Makes it seem that much more likely that the WMD are coming because when all else fails with the dirty tricks, there will be nothing left to do but pull out the final weapon before going down in a blaze of glory. Seems they are already burning those oil ditches, likely the leaders will be glad to light all of Baghdad up and burn it down as their last statement proving to all that they represent themselves, not Iraqis or any Arabs as they try to claim.

Notice that the appeasers never seem to respond to threads like this. Hmmm. I would at least expect someone to come in and claim this is some kind of US conspiracy and the poor, angelic little Iraqis couldn't possibly do something like this.
